Inna Maevsky

Inna started her career in Biomedical Science, specialising in Haematology and Immunology. She worked across many areas including therapeutic and diagnostic antibodies, cancer immunotherapies, vaccines, transgenic plants and animals, and has published her work in leading journals.

Inna holds a Masters of Intellectual Property from the University of Melbourne, and a Masters of Biomedical Science with First Class Honours from Monash University.

Learning about innovation has always been her passion and after working several years for a multinational biotechnology company, Inna transitioned into Intellectual Property. She gained her experience while working in several leading IP firms in Melbourne and has joined Cooper IP in 2024.


Inna has a strategic, pragmatic and cost-effective approach to solving her clients’ problems. She loves using her technical background to get into the depth of clients’ inventions. She also has a strong background and interest in trade marks and providing advice on clients’ brands strategy.


Outside of the IP world, Inna enjoys travelling, hiking, reading and retail therapy.
