Patent to Profit Workshop at Eastern Innovation: How to Protect, Fund and Manufacture Your Product Offshore

Last week, Cooper IP brought together a room full of inventors, entrepreneurs and product developers for Patent to Profit: How to Protect, Fund and Manufacture Your Product Offshore at Eastern Innovation in Mulgrave.

The workshop-style format made for high-quality discussion. Attendees came with real questions and left with practical answers across a range of topics: the enforceability of IP rights in China, how to find and work with reliable manufacturers, government reimbursement programmes for IP activities, and what early-stage companies should consider before committing to offshore production.

Michael Cooper from Cooper IP, Heng Jiang Cheng from SourceWorxs, and Russell Mogilevsky from Nexus Point Group each brought their experience to those conversations, including the question of whether and when to file IP in China as part of a broader protection strategy.
